"Unlearnt, unUSual, Unschooled." - Farheen Khan

 

Unschooled Artist, as the name suggests, is a self taught Artist and a Designer.
She has designed and consulted spaces like Corridor Seven Coffee Roasters and La Carma. Art Directed a web series featured on Amazon Prime, made installations and murals for cafes. She handcrafts products which are emotionally designed; a principle of design that involves psychology.

She has taken workshops and lectures for over 600+ students and has work experience as a Creative Leader with few Branding agencies. She has given 30+ brands visual identities, creative strategies and humanized them.

But how did it start?

Like everyone else, this hijab clad girl was confused about career choices and opted for engineering entrances. But while accidently attempting a logical reasoning question paper, she realised her dream to become a creative person and full time Artist.

Not knowing how to enter the designing and art career, she enrolled in B.Sc. Home Science where she learnt Human Development Psychology to the core and evolved herself into an artist and designer gradually with the help of many workshops, internships, management duties, weird knowledge experiences like handling a canteen kitchen, building an enterprise in 21 days, teaching pre schoolers scientifically, to name a few, while balancing her life with only 6-8 working hours per day for the last 4 years after college.

To conclude, she mentions, "Jo log kuch na kuch karte rehte hai, Woh aage bahot kuch karte hai. Don't sit still!"

One of her social entrepreneurships she plans to launch for public next year include fashion eye glasses for the visually deprived. Follow her space to #UnLearn & #UnSchool !
