"India's Most Qualified Man."-Dr. Shrikant Jichkar

 

Dr. Shrikant Jichkar, lovingly called ‘Dada’ by one and all, was gifted with an uncommon intellect along with a great desire for accumulating knowledge. This pursuit led him to become an apostle of academic excellence and made him India’s most qualified person.

The youngest and the most academically qualified scholar and politician Late Dr. Shrikant Jichkar was a highly educated individual from India who not only created a national record but also an International record in academical achievements. With 20 Post Graduate University Degrees to his credit he holds the record as the person with the highest number of University Degrees not only in India but also in the world.

In 1978 he wrote the IPS (Indian Police Service) examination and got into it, resigned, wrote the prestigious IAS (Indian Administrative Services) examination in 1980 and got into it, resigning in four months to contest his first general election.

His future career was set to the pattern, destiny carves for brilliant young intellectuals. This was not merely for the pursuit of academic qualifications but for building of a character that acts as a beacon for others to follow.
